How Much Does the Chiropractor Cost?

We often have enquiries relating to the cost of Chiropractic visits so this page is here to clearly explain what's involved with our Chiropractic fees.

• Initial consultation and spinal adjustment - $87

• Subsequent regular spinal adjustment visits - $65

When you book your first appointment at Little Mountain Chiropractic, we will email or text you some forms to complete relating to your present concerns and overall state of health. By completing these forms before your appointment, our Chiropractors have a good opportunity to familiarise themselves with your information prior to your appointment.  When you come to Little Mountain Chiropractic for your first appointment, we allow time for you to comfortably discuss your health concerns with the Chiropractor and for the Chiropractor to complete a thorough assessment of your specific areas of concern.  They will also assess the entire spine and any related areas as part of our Holistic approach, to ensure they have the best impression of what is happening in your body and how to help you achieve the best chiropractic results.

Once the Chiropractor has completed their examination and assessment, they will clearly explain to you what is going on and whether Chiropractic is likely to help improve your concerns.  If you have any questions, the Chiropractor is here to listen and is happy to answer them to the best of their ability.  

If you are happy to go ahead with treatment, we have allocated enough time for the Chiropractor to provide a Chiropractic Adjustment on this visit.  Typically the Chiropractor will make any recommendations for home exercises, or further care at this point so that you can achieve the best results. 

Typically we allow 30 to 40 minutes for this first appointment. Please try to arrive on time and call ahead if you are running late or are unable to keep your appointment.

For subsequent / regular visits we allow 15 minutes and these involve a Chiropractic spinal adjustment with your chosen Chiropractor.  The Chiropractor will always do their best to address your concerns on each visit and have you walking out feeling better than when you came in.  With male and female Chiropractors available from Monday to Saturday, you have a large variety to choose from to ensure your needs are met.

We happily process most health funds on the spot via our HiCaps machine. This includes but is not limited to Chiropractic services for BUPA, Medibank Private, AHM, CBHS, Police Health, Defence Health, HCF and a number of other health funds.  To check the full list of Hicaps covered health funds click here.

We are also a preferred provider for BUPA and Medibank Private. This means that members of BUPA and Medibank Private are able to claim the maximum amount on each Chiropractic visit.  By being one of the few Chiropractic practices in Caloundra and the Sunshine Coast that are preferred providers for both BUPA and Medibank Private we hope this makes your experience with us easier.

Please bring your health fund card or app on your phone each visit so we can help you claim through your health fund.

To find out how much your health fund covers, please contact them directly as we are unable to know until we swipe your card through the Hicaps machine. 

Speak with your GP about whether you are eligible for an EPC chiropractic referral via Medicare.  This referral is usually for up to 5 visits per year and involves us reporting back to your GP about your progress.  We are able to provide on the spot claiming for Medicare covered services for people holding a valid GP referral. You will likely have a small gap to pay as Medicare covers $58.30 of the fee.

We are pleased to provide DVA covered Chiropractic services to people who hold a valid DVA GP referral.  Usually patients who hold a DVA gold card or DVA white card are able to access Chiropractic care if their DVA approved condition is expected to respond to Chiropractic care.  Your GP decides this and will outline it on the referral they give you to bring to us.  If you intend to use a DVA referral, please notify us once you have the approved referral so that we can complete any associated admin and look after the claiming for you.

DVA referrals typically cover 12 visits per referral. 

Chiropractors are recognised as primary health practitioners. You do not need a referral to visit the Chiropractor in Australia.  You can book directly through us by calling, emailing or using our contact form on this website.

If you are a patient who is using DVA or GP referred medicare visits on an EPC, TCA or Chronic Disease Management Plan, you will need a GP referral to claim payment through these schemes.  This must be dated and presented to our reception prior to your appointment otherwise we will require full payment at the time of your visit.

We aim to run on time, however on occasion we may have a consultation that takes a little longer if someone requires extra attention.  In the event of us running 15 minutes late, we will advise you as soon as possible and accommodate any changes you may need to make as best we can.  We ask that if you are running late or need to make changes to your appointment that you let us know as soon as you can so that we can manage our appointment book. 

We do not charge for missed appointments. Our policy is to accommodate you if you need to make changes and to make seeing the Chiropractor as easeful as possible.
